“This is where I belong… this exact spot.”
The title of this solo exhibition is borrowed from a line of poetry from the artist’s close friend who was a significant force in helping Michelle explore and embrace her adoptive and Irish/ Indian identity. In the process of visiting her ‘Fatherland’, Michelle is finding expression for her female adult self through different artistic processes including painting /works on paper/ installation and video.
This exhibition is supported by The Ireland India Council and will travel to Kerala in 2018.
