Aoibhe Kettle (harp), Naoise Kettle (fiddle) & Senan Shortall (accordion)

April 27 @ 8.00pm - 10.00pm

€20
Aoibhe Kettle playing harp, Naoise Kettle playing fiddle, Sennan Shortall playing accordion, all in garden setting.

Aoibhe Kettle, Naoise Kettle and Senan Shortall are a trio of multi-instrumentalists from Co. Laois. With strong roots in Irish music and a grounded traditional sound, they like to experiment, fusing contemporary and world styles of music into their performances.

Aoibhe is an accomplished harpist and fiddle player with many All-Ireland accolades to her name. She is a member of the National Folk Orchestra of Ireland and a very active composer. With many of her compositions inspired by stories of ancient Irish heritage, her music encompasses a unique traditional sound that can transport the listener.

Aoibhe’s brother, Naoise, is a fiddle and guitar player. Having won the All-Ireland under-18 Fiddle title at the Fleadh in 2018, Naoise’s music career has stayed close to the tradition as he now performs and competes with “The Grange” Ceili Band, of which Senan Shortall is also a member.

Senan plays the concertina and piano and regularly collaborates and records with Aoibhe and Naoise. His contemporary feel on the piano, paired with traditional music, allows for a rich and soulful musical performance.

Doors open at 7.30pm, for an 8pm start.

Attendees who are expecting to take a taxi home after the concert are advised to book one in advance for no later than 10pm.

Tickets are €20, including booking fee, and are available from eventbrite.ie
