An Evening with Dublin Comhaltas at Farmleigh

As Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann’s Dublin Branch prepare for the journey towards the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann they will commence by hosting an evening of traditional Irish music at Farmleigh. Join Comhaltas Bhaile Átha Cliath in Farmleigh’s Kitchen Cabinet Room for a seisiún that will involve Dublin musicians of the highest standard. Beidh an scoth den cheol á seinnt ag ceoltóirí an chontae.

This event will be followed by the County Dublin Fleadh that will take place at Edmund Rice College, Navan Road, D.15 over the weekend 18-19 May. Winners will advance to represent Dublin in the Leinster Fleadh with the aim of reaching the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann to be hosted in Wexford in August.

Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann is the largest group involved in the preservation and promotion of Irish traditional music. They are a non-profit cultural movement with hundreds of local branches around the world teaching, preserving and promoting the best of all elements of Irish culture.

Attendees who are expecting to take a taxi home after the concert are advised to book one in advance for no later than 9.30pm.

This concert is presented by the OPW as part of the 2024 cultural programme at Farmleigh House.
