Accessing the Collection

The Library may be visited as part of the guided tour of Farmleigh.  A display of books, manuscripts and bindings selected from the Benjamin Iveagh Library may be viewed in the Nobel Room on the Ground Floor. This display is changed every three months. The Benjamin Iveagh Library is open for use by suitably qualified scholars and readers. Enquiries by post, telephone, or e-mail must be received before an appointment to access material can be made. A letter of recommendation may be sought and ID is required.  If material can be readily accessed elsewhere an appointment may not be given this is to ensure the continued preservation of the collections. A full electronic catalogue of the collection may be viewed at Farmleigh but it is not available on-line as yet.

Groups of up to 20 may apply to have a tour of the library. For further information please contact Julia Cummins Assistant Librarian at Tel: +353 1 8155908; Email:
