'An evening of poetry by renowned poets Tom Paulin and Jamie McKendrick, who will read from recent and collected work and answer questions from the audience.  Introduced by Stella Tillyard.  Tom Paulin was born in Belfast in 1949 and is now a fellow of Hertford College, Oxford.  He is the author of numerous poetry collections, plays and books of non-fiction, many of which reflect upon the political situation in Northern Ireland, and a frequent contributor to BBC 2's Newsnight Review.  Jamie McKendrick was born in Liverpool in 1955 and now lives in Oxford. He is the author of 5 volumes of poetry, most recently Crocodilles and Obelisks, and of many translations from Italian. He has just finished a translation of the poetry of Valerio Magrelli.'
